Research | Type | Design | Present
The state report is a six month project beginning October 1st. Every two to four weeks, you will receive a new topic. The first part is to research the topic listing the facts you have researched.
The second part is to type your research making sure you do not plagiarize. Using Google Docs, you will type your research following a specific format. Due dates are given for each section. The number one piece of advice: do not miss your due dates and fall behind. Once your research is completed you will assemble your pages in a half-inch binder.
The third part is to design a cover page for your binder, create a diorama of your state in a shoebox that shows 3d objects of your state as well as creating a collage on the outside of the box, make a three-minute video presentation of your state with Touch Cast & Green Screen, and design a poster using Microsoft Publisher.
On March 31 we will celebrate the completion of your research and projects with a multicultural feast. Each student is to make a main dish or dessert from his/her state or country. We will sample food from across the globe and watch the video presentations each student created.
